2020 was an explosive year for me, but 2016,
while not as groundbreaking
as 2020 was
nonetheless formidable. The crown jewel of that
year was the release of the Busco Quadnary
Trilogy. To this day, it is the thing I'm most
well-known for. While it is difficult to

deal with failure, it is also fun to see my own
creativity shine. Writing plays is my
greatest weakness when it comes to fiction
writing. At least as far as I know. I've had much
more success with the other categories of
fiction screenwriting novel writing, short
stories, poems, even reviewing fiction. Plays
are the bane of my existence. I would love to be
good at writing them. I guess I just need to
read more of my own work, in addition to the
works of the old masters. Plays are harder to
write than screenplays or novels because you
can't rely on the CG magic of Hollywood to bring
your ideas to life. If they can't make it with a
silk screen and some plywood, you're out of
luck. I've read plays like The Grapes of Wrath
where they try to fit a whole planet on stage,
but most writers won't be able to get that amount
of attention. The story of playwriting is the
story of working within one's limits. My
playwriting career came at a time of immense
suffering in my life. I had never felt so much
emotional pain before 2016-2018. That inner pain
that I felt was excruciating. But I'm glad I went
through it. I would love to have an entire book
of just stage plays. Maybe I'm being a little too
optimistic. Maybe I just want to write on every
good stage play.
