SURE FLOW EQUIPMENT BACK DOING TRADE SHOWS

2When business travel was curtailed, it was a
tough time for a lot of us. We could still talk
on the phone and have meetings via the computer
but somehow theres nothing like talking to
someone in the industry face to face. Sure Flow
Equipment was excited to get back in the trade
show saddle and attend the Texas City Chamber of
Commerce Industrial Trade Show. The Chamber of
Commerce has a broad reach with many industries
represented, but by the very nature of where its
located, in the heart of oil and gas country, the
petroleum industry was often front and centre.
3The show was extremely well attended, and the
luncheon was sold out. The Valero Texas City
Refinery was the presenting sponsor so there were
lots of refinery personnel in attendance. As
often happens at these shows, we were exposed to
lots of new information, and we learned a lot.
Everything from coatings on tanks and tank repair
and maintenance to offshore construction and
engineering. Sure Flow feels very comfortable
networking at these events considering how often
our products end up in a variety of applications
in the oil and gas business. From refining to
transportation and pipelines including water and
wastewater treatment, Sure Flow is well
acclimatized to this environment. Our consultant
for this part of the world is Diana Sierk and she
got to chat with lots of new and existing
customers at our booth. Diana is a member of the
Chamber of Commerce, and this area represents a
very important area to Sure Flow Equipment. John
Zuber, our VP of Sales and Marketing, also made
it to the show and was really impressed with the
amount of networking that went on.
4According to John Every industry is constantly
changing, with technology and quality and
environmental improvements and theres no better
way to figure out how your products fit into a
changing marketplace than talking to the people
who use them. It was tough to not be able to
meet with customers face to face a few years
back, so a show like this is really a huge lift
for the sales team. Sure Flow Equipment is
happy to talk to you on the phone, to face time
over the computer, or LiveChat on the website.
But we really like meeting face-to-face. I guess
were kind of old school that way, but we believe
its an important part of any business
relationship.
