MECHANICAL SEAL TEST - PROCESS

1. Cover the suction with blank flange as per pump
   suction
2. Fill the pump with water
3. Cover the delivery with the blank flange with
   nipple provision
4. Tighten the suction and delivery flanges firmly
5. Now with the help of compressed air connect the
   pressure testing equipment to the designated port
6. Gradually apply the pressure to the mechanical
   seal starting from zero
7. Maintain the test pressure for specified duration
8. Gradually release the pressure and observe the
   seal for any leakage
