Overview ASDs or Aspirated Smoke Detection
systems are devices that can monitor levels of
smoke in an environment. The device has more
sensitivity to smoke than a standard fire alarm
and was first invented to monitor forest fires in
Australia. The device sends a signal at the
slightest release of smoke and warns of a fire
long before it actually combusts into flames.
