PREPARATION AND INSPECTION

  damage, loose bolts or connections, hydraulic
  fluid levels, and other potential issues.
• Ensure the crane is set up on stable ground, and
  if it has outriggers, deploy them to increase
  stability.
• Verify that all safety features and devices are
  functional, such as emergency stop buttons, load
  indicators, and alarms.

LOAD ASSESSMENT

• Examine the load you intend to lift and
  transport. Ensure it is properly secured and
  balanced.
• Determine the weight of the load and ensure it
  does not exceed the crane's rated capacity.
• Use load charts and guidelines provided by the
  manufacturer to calculate the load's center of
  gravity and the appropriate crane configuration.

SAFE OPERATION

• Familiarize yourself with the crane's controls
  and operational procedures. Ensure you know how
  to raise, lower, extend, and retract the boom, as
  well as how to control the load.
• Operate the crane smoothly and avoid sudden
  movements or jerks that can destabilize the load.
• Communicate effectively with ground personnel or
  spotters to ensure safe maneuvering and lifting.

LIFTING AND TRANSPORTING

• Lift the load slowly and smoothly, ensuring it
  does not swing excessively. Use proper rigging
  techniques and ensure the load is evenly
  distributed.
• Monitor the load and surrounding area throughout
  the lifting and transporting process, making
  adjustments as necessary.
• When transporting the load, move the crane at a
  controlled speed, and avoid sudden stops or sharp
  turns.

SHUTDOWN AND POST-OPERATION INSPECTION

• After completing the task, lower the load to the
  ground or its designated location.
• Retract the boom fully and secure it in its
  transport position.
• Lower and retract the outriggers (if used) to
  prepare for crane transport.
• Turn off the engine and secure the crane's
  controls to prevent unauthorized use.
• Conduct a post-operation inspection to check for
  any damage or issues that may have arisen during
  use
