Celebrating the Degree Distribution Ceremony of
Graduating Batch 2022
The day 04th June 2023, marked a significant
milestone in the lives of the students of IISM as
they gathered at the Novotel, Andheri to
commemorate their achievement at the Degree
Distribution Ceremony of Graduating Batch 2022.

The event witnessed the conferral of degrees upon
the graduates of the Bachelor of Sports
Management (2019-2022), Master of Sports
Management (2020-2022), and Post Graduate
Program in Sports Management (2021-2022) degree
programs. With esteemed guests and notable
personalities from the sports industry gracing
the event, it was an occasion of heartfelt
celebration, inspiration, and wisdom.
The event was graced by eminent personalities who
have made significant contributions to the world
of sports. The Chief Guest was Shri. Ashish
Shelar ji, Treasurer of the BCCI and President
of the Mumbai unit of the BJP. The Guests of
Honour were Shri. VVS Laxman ji, Head of the
National Cricket Academy and Former Indian
Cricketer, and Mr. Sanjay Naik, Vice-President
of the Mumbai Cricket Association. The presence
of these accomplished individuals enhanced the
ceremony with a feeling of awe.

The Degree Distribution Ceremony also witnessed
the participation of prominent individuals from
the educational realm. Dr. Keyurkumar Nayak ji,
Director of Garware Institute of Career
Education Development (GICED) Mr. Nilesh
Kulkarni, Founder Director of IISM Ms. Rasika
Kulkarni, Co-Founder Director of IISM Mr. Amit
Gupte, Chief Operating Officer at IISM and Mr.
Amitava Pal, Associate Dean of IISM, were also
present to extend their support and
encouragement to the graduating class.

The event commenced with our guests lighting the
lamp and then sharing their profound wisdom and
words of encouragement. Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni
expressed his immense pride and acknowledged the
dedication, hard work, and perseverance shown by
the graduates. Shri. VVS Laxman emphasised the
importance of education, dedication, and a strong
work ethic in achieving success. Shri. Ashish
Shelar acknowledged their commitment to academic
pursuit and also enlightened the audience with
his insights on the changing landscape of sports
education. The collective wisdom shared by the
esteemed guests resonated deeply with the

As the ceremony came to an end, then came the
moment all the graduates had been patiently
waiting for. It was time for the graduates to
follow in on the tradition of tossing caps into
the air. This is a symbolic gesture marking the

lives. Together, they threw their caps high into
the air, and this moment captured their sense of
accomplishment, unity, and shared dreams. As the
caps descended gracefully, laughter filled the
air, along with a sense of achievement and
relief. At that moment, they let go of the
challenges and hurdles they had overcome,
embracing the limitless possibilities that lay
ahead.
