Why Do Chemical Hazards Occur?

• The characteristics of chemical substances are
  the primary cause of the various hazards that
  occur.
• This is because distinct chemicals have various
  properties that could be incompatible with one
  another.
• In instances when non-compatible chemical
  substances mix or are exposed to the air or
  fire, a hazardous situation may arise.

• Inhalation Breathing in toxic
• vapors or small chemical particles.
• Absorption Direct exposure to the skin by
  touching a chemical substance without any
  protection.
• Injection Accidental puncture by a sharp
  contaminated object or needle to the human body.

  toxins.
