2IMPORTER OF RECORD WHAT IS IT?
If you import goods into the U.S., you'll need an
IOR (Importer of Record) to ensure you have all
the necessities to clear customs. Each imported
consignment requires its own individual IOR to
file all necessary tax, duty, and legal
paperwork. An IOR's work is essential since it
facilitates the discovery of illegal activity and
controls the payments of import duties.
