What Is Medicare?

• Most people age 65 or older are eligible for free
  Medical hospital insurance (Part A) if they have
  worked and paid Medicare taxes long enough. You
  can enroll in Medicare medical insurance (Part B)
  by paying a monthly premium.
• Medicare advantage plan is different from
  Medicaid, which is another government program
  that provides health insurance. The program
  helps with the cost of health care, but it does
  not cover all medical expenses or the cost of
  most long-term care. Here are the parts of
  Medicare-
• Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) Medicare
  Part B (medical insurance) Medicare Advantage
  Plan (known as Part C)
• Medicare Part D (Medicare prescription drug
  coverage)
