ICC Rules Change 2022 The ball will not be able
to shine by spitting this rule of IPL will
apply, changes regarding Mankading too ICC
changed 8 rules
  • On Tuesday, the International Cricket Council
(ICC) announced changes in several rules of
cricket after the Chief Executives Committee
(CEC) approved the recommendations of the Sourav
Ganguly-led Mens Cricket Committee. The main
changes will be effective from October 1 2022.
All these new rules will be seen in the T20 World
Cup to be held in Australia.
  • Latest sports news
  • Talking about the change in the rules, shining
the ball by spitting has been completely banned.
Apart from this, the new batsman will take the
strike when a batsman is caught out. This rule
was seen in IPL 2022. Now it will also be seen in
international cricket. Apart from this, Mankading
will also be called run out. Let us know what has
    changed.
  • The new batsman will take strike when caught out.
  • If a batsman is Caught out, the replacement
batsman who enters the crease will now take the
strike in that situation. The first rule stated
that the batsman positioned on the non-strike
took the strike if the ball was played in the air
and the strike was modified before it was caught.
Now, it wont occur. In IPL 2022, this regulation
    was in effect.

  • Use of spit to shine the ball
  • For more than two years in international cricket,
there has been a ban on shining the ball by
spitting. It was banned after the Corona
epidemic. This rule came into force when cricket
resumed after a break in July 2020. Now it has
been banned forever. Players can make the ball
    shine by sweating.
  • Change in the rules regarding the new batsman
    coming to the crease
  • Newcomers to the crease after a batsman is
dismissed will have to be ready to take the
strike within two minutes in Tests and ODIs. In
T20Is, this rule is the same as before for 90
seconds. Earlier, the batsman used to have three
minutes to strike in ODIs and Tests, but now it
has been reduced. Failure to accomplish so may
result in an appeal for a time-out by the captain
    of the bowling team.
  • Latest sports newsShot will have to be played
    inside the pitch.
  • This regulation states that the Run will not be
counted if the bat or the batsmans body leaves
the field of play while performing the shot. A
dead ball will be substituted for that one. Any
ball will be deemed a no-ball if the batter is
    forced off the field.
  • Movement from the fielding team while throwing
    the ball
  • The batting team will receive a penalty of 5
runs, and the ball will be deemed a dead ball if
the fielder moves before the bowler bowls the
ball. For accomplishing this in the past, only a
    dead ball was awarded.
  • Mankading will now be run out.
  • If a bowler dismisses a non-striker by mankading
him out of the crease before the ball is bowled,
he will be considered run out. Mankading has now
been taken out of the Unfair Play section and put
    in the Runout section.

3
  • Penalty will be imposed for not completing the
    over on time.
  • This rule is already applicable in T20. Now it
has also been implemented in ODIs. According to
this, if a team cannot complete 50 overs on time,
it will have to bowl the rest by keeping an extra
fielder in the infield. In ODIs, this rule will
apply from the ICC Mens Cricket World Cup Super
    League in 2023.
  • Latest sports news
  • To throw at the striker before throwing the ball.
  • Earlier, the bowler saw the batsman leaving the
crease before throwing the ball, so he could
throw the ball to run out the striker. Now doing
this will be called a dead ball.

  • Ireland squad for T20 World Cup 2022 Balbirnie
    to lead 15-member team
  • Ireland on Tuesday revealed its team for the
forthcoming T20 World Cup, including Andrew
    Balbirnie as its captain.
  • Latest sports news
  • While Simi Singh was added to the team, which
will be led by Balbirnie and has a solid balance
of youth and experience, off-spinner Andy McBrine
    was cut from the squad.
  • The 15-member squads expertise comes from opener
Paul Stirling, all-arounder George Dockrell, and
    Balbirnie.
  • Latest sports news
  • As we begin another significant international
event, Irish cricket is in an exciting period. We
have created a powerful core squad while adding
additional depth to our T20 cricket. According to
Andrew White, chair of the national mens
selectors, I think fans have started to witness
the great improvements the players have been
making in this format, especially with the series
victory over Afghanistan. We hope we can resume
this momentum into the tournament in Australia.

  • Latest sports news
  • Our spin bowling options were one of the most
careful judgments we had to make. It came down to
choosing between Simi Singh and Andy McBrine
since George Dockrell, and Gareth Delany also had
an effect this summer and add variety to the
assault. Andy can be extremely disappointed to
have been left out this time. Still, we think
Simi provides more variety on Australian surfaces
with his capacity to pull the ball away from both
    right and left-handers, he added.
