About CPEng
CPEng stands for the Chartered Professional
Engineer. It is a professional and prestigious
status given to those engineers who excel in
their own engineering field. It is a mark of
excellence.

CPEng Status
The CPEng status is provided by both Australia
New Zealand to eligible engineers. In Australia
CPEng status is given by Engineers Australia. On
the other hand, it is provided by the institution
of professional engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) in
New Zealand.

CPEng Australia
The aspirants who fulfill Engineers Australia
stage 2 competency Standard criteria gets the
status of CPEng Australia. Engineers Australia
allows its members to earn the title of
Chartered Engineer and thus, opens the doors of
opportunities for them through this
internationally recognised title.

CPEng NZ
The Institution of Professional Engineers New
Zealand (IPENZ) is the registration authority
for engineers in New Zealand. It is also
responsible for providing the Chartered status
to qualified engineers. Thera are several ways
to attain the Professional Engineer status.

Way To Become CPEng
The most common way to become a Professional
Engineer is to get a four- year (BE) engineering
degree and work as a BE graduate. After getting
five or six years of work experience, one can
demonstrate competence as a Professional
Engineer and can gain registration as a
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng
registration).
