Songwriting is a time-consuming process. It is
uncommon for someone to jump straight in and
produce catchy music from the start, though it
does happen on occasion. For the rest of us who

A Basic DAW and Recording Configuration
It's okay if you're unfamiliar with the acronym
DAW! It is an abbreviation for Digital Audio
Workstation, which is a tool that lets you record
and edit music on your computer. These can now
get difficult. Many people have heard of
ProTools, which is the industry standard for
big-scale recording facilities nevertheless,
ProTools is not required to compose music. There
are several free DAWs available now that are
user-friendly and allow you to go right to work
