• Solution to QuickBooks Error 15106
• Turn off the UAC
• UAC or User Account Control is the antivirus
  feature that helps prevent the QuickBooks update
  Error 15106. By turning it off and again updating
  the software, we will be able to fix this issue.
• Press the windows keys and open the search bar.
• Type control panel and hit enter.
• Select the user account setting on the
  dashboard.
• Find and open Change User Account Setting.
• Click yes, if it prompts and turns the
  notification setting off.
• Click Ok to ensure UAC is off permanently.
• Now you can download and install the latest
  version of QuickBooks.
