NID was founded by Gira Sarabhai in 1961 and
stands for National Institute Of Design.
Moreover, it is the first design school that was
declared as an Institution of National
Importance by an Act in the Indian
Parliament. NID is an autonomous Institute for
design education, practice and research that
believes in promoting design awareness among
students in various specializations. The main
motive behind the successful implementation of
this institute is to provide excellence in the
field of design. Moreover, it plans to create
highly skilled design professionals to help meet
Indians design needs. Furthermore, provide a
benchmark of standards in design education and
also provide a thorough knowledge of Design
fundamentals. NID is an autonomous institute that
falls under the ambit of Ministry Of Commerce and
Industry, Government of India. NID is well
renowned for providing exceptional design
courses. For instance, NID offers in various
specializations like Industrial, Communication,
Textile and  IT Integrated Design.
NID EXAM Eligibility Criteria
AGE Indian Nationals (Both General and General
EWS) The condition being they should be born on
or after 1st July 2001. Only then the applicants
would be eligible for admission. Reserved
Category Indian Nationals (Scheduled Castes(SCs),
Scheduled Tribes(STs), Other Backward Classes-Non
Creamy Layer(NCL) born on or after 1st July 1998
are eligible for sitting for the exam. PwD
Indians who are born on or after 1st July 1996
are eligible to apply for admission. Foreign
Nationals belonging to the Overseas Category can
apply for the admission if they are born on or
after 1st July 2001.   Educational
Qualification In addition to the age criterion
stated above, the applicants need to fulfil at
least one of the following qualifications to be
eligible for admission to NIDs. Bachelor degree
in any specialization with a minimum 4 year
duration, after 12th or equivalent to 12th- This
degree must be recognized by law in
India. Moreover, applicants need to have passed
the examination during the time of verification
of documents scheduled for the year.
NID EXAM Eligibility Criteria
A Diploma degree of minimum 4-year duration in
any of the mentioned specializations like Design/
Fine Arts/Applied Arts/Architecture after 12th
standard or equivalent 12th standard from any
university that has been recognized by law in
India. Moreover candidates need to pass the
Diploma examination at the time of document
verification scheduled for the year. A Bachelor
degree of minimum 3 year duration in any
specialization after 12th standard or and
equivalent to 12th standard Moreover, for the
year 2021 the candidates must have passed the 3
year Bachelor degree exam by 2020. For the
applicants who were in the final year of the
Academic session 2019-2020, and their
examinations havent been conducted due to the
pandemic can also apply. Furthermore the
students need to note that, the applicants in the
final year of their Bachelor degree/Full-Time
Diploma programme whose universities have not
issued the final degree certificate to them can
also apply provided that the students need to
provide the Provisional Degree Certificate at the
time time of counselling.

NID DAT 2022, National institute of Design
-Design Aptitude test is an aptitude test for
undergraduates. The NID Design Aptitude Test (NID
DAT) consists of three phases a written exam
(Prelims and Mains), a studio test, and a
personal interview. To gain admission to NIDs,
candidates must pass each phase of the exam.
Aspirants must familiarize themselves with the
NID DAT 2022 exam pattern in order to properly
prepare for the exam. NID will define the DAT
2022 syllabus for B. Des and M. Des. Applicants
wishing to appear for DAT exam must analyze the
DAT syllabus AMD the exam pattern before starting

  • To successfully download the NID entrance exam
    hall tickets 2022, applicants need to  follow the
