This newsletter is an extension of what we do
Embarks to be exclusive for seniors. Athulya
being the most preferred in the geriatric
healthcare is ecstatic about the positive
difference it creates in the life of seniors and
the environment around them. Thanks to Athulya

Welcome to this half yearly E-Newsletter of
Athulya. This past half year has been a upward
journey for Athulya. Upward journey not only for
Athulya as a brand but also to thousands of
senior people Athulya has served. Amidst
Covid-19 lockdowns, We have strived to serve the
senior citizens with utmost safety and
excellence. The trust seniors have on Athulya
for their health issues and healthcare needs
makes us the most preferred. Being the leader in
Geriatric healthcare for nearly a
decade, Athulya Home Healthcare has reached
a mark of 10000 seniors being served in a short
period of time. Also Athulya Assisted living has
stepped into its 5th year successfully and has
expanded it's third facility in Chennai. There
is more which you'll see in this newsletter
including several milestones we have
accomplished. With Nature evolving Constantly and
commitment we have towards the elderly, we
continue to strive to keep the seniors lives
healthy and safe. Athulya is looking forward to
establishing a safer senior living atmosphere in

How and why is Assisted living becoming the best
and a safe place for seniors to choose in
the current pandemic
situation
?
Never did we know that a pandemic of such
nature would hit us making us sit in our homes.
We all knew how it was difficult for all of us
in this situation, but let us spare a minute to
think of our seniors. Yes, they are the ones who
get hit the highest when such a thing happens
and more serious is the case when they live
alone. All of their day-to-day activities from
food to medical care - everything would have
been stuck at some point. What if there was
someone who could take care of your senior's
day-to-day activities even though you are not
with them and staying abroad for your job? Give
them the proper clinical care they need with a
home-like feel eradicating the common loneliness
that haunts in old age ?
These are the questions that lead you to check
for a Senior Living facility. What if it is an
assisted living? Yes, things become much easier.
Even clinical care can be adhered to in such a
place. That's where assisted living facilities
go multiple steps ahead of the old age homes.
Even when our own homes had become a place of
uncertainties where safety from Covid-19 was a
question, Assisted living homes have ensured
safety and wellness of the elders with utmost
care. They have also ensured access to proper

after the Pandemic
?
Home health care provides people with the
means to stay healthy in their own homes,
clearing up space in hospitals which is an
implication to fight against Covid-19. Due to
the social distancing measures, important
challenges to the health and well being of the
very old, frail or who have multiple chronic
conditions were at high risk of morbidity and
mortality and this led to the significant need
for home healthcare which has resulted in rise
of patients who are being treated in the home
after the Covid-19 pandemic. The important
aspect of it is the provision of comfort and
companionship which the patients enjoy, that has
made it a need of the day.
At times even when at a hospital for regular
checkup we tend to feel uncomfortable and
sometimes it becomes a himalayan task to go out
of our house to a hospital or clinic due to
various reasons. So there are a variety of
reasons why home healthcare is chosen over the
conventional way of clinic or hospital setup. It
is, on a large scale, advantageous for the older
people as they are the ones who have mobility
issues on a large scale. Home health care is
becoming i m p o r t a n t , a s h o s p i t a
l s a r e managing tightly with many issues
like bed capacity, staff management and the
health issues they are treating.
