  not. Alabama does Not issue titles.
• Go to the Marine Patrol Division (AMP) to get
  these
• Boat Registration Number in Alabama starts with
  the letters AL
• The Reg. No. must be displayed on the hull with a
  registration sticker

HULL ID Number location
A State assigned hull ID would have the letters
ALZ in its 12 character HIN. All others would
have the manufacturer code instead.

Liens In Alabama

• Claims, Liens or Security interests on any
  non-documented boats are recorded with the Marine
  Patrol Division (AMP) in the State of Alabama
• Look for these on the registration certificate
  but there is no title to check in this state.
• If the vessel is USCG documented, a lenders
  security interests will be recorded with the
  National Vessel Documentation Center (NVDC)
