Front Bumpers

• The front bumpers are triangular guards made of
  steel, which are installed at the base of the
  pallet rack front to provide protection from

  baselegs. These bumpers come in two forms
  weld-able and bolt-ons. While the bolt on type of
  pallet rack part requires additional labor for
  installation, it is considered to be more
  desirable as it can be replaced. The welded
  guards neither perform as well as these bolt-ons,
  nor offer the same level of durability.

Heavy Duty Rub Rails

• Additional horizontal braces are installed at the
  base of the pallet rack. These braces run from
  the front to the rear vertical column. These rub
  rails offer three advantages. First, they help
  deflect forklift shocks and impacts which can be
  operating around that pallet rack. Second, they
  provide more support to pallet racks and improve
  the overall rigidity of the upright rack. Third,
  they enhance impact resistance from any direction.

Double Columns

• The capacity of pallet racks can be increased by
  installing vertical columns of the uprights.
  These reinforced columns are made of steel which
  provide additional durability and safety due to
  their increased weight tolerance and bolstering
  the upright frame which helps reduce impacts
  damage. Extending to at least the first shelf
  level, these double columns are ideal for high
  impact areas such as freezers, row ends and
  tunnels.

Wire Decks and Pallet Support

• Wire decks also help make the pallet rack more
  efficient and safe as they create a near solid
  surface. With wire decks, smaller items can also
  be stored. As wire decks provide a drop in
  solution, this allows in reduced installation
  labor.
• One of the important pallet rack parts is wire
  decks and pallet support. When two shelf beams
  are utilized as a shelf without having wire decks
  or pallet supports, it compromises the
  functionality and durability of the pallet rack.
  Although the two beams adequately support a
  pallet, however wire decks enhance their
  durability and strength to hold items. Pallet
  supports run from the front shelf beam to the
  rear, horizontally. They reduce the risk of
  pallet falling through the front and rear beams
  space, and also increase efficiency because
  operator spends less time in positioning items.
  Other than this, with pallet support the
  operators do not have to worry about missing
  the two support beams.
