Munnar
  • Munnar rises as three mountain streams merge  -
    Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 m
    above sea level, this hill station was once the
    summer resort of the erstwhile British Government
    in South India. One of the most sought after
    honeymoon destinations in Kerala, Munnar is
    replete with resorts and logding facilities that
    fit a wide rage of budgets. Sprawling tea
    plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and
    holiday facilities make this a popular resort
    town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests
    and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji. This
    flower which bathes the hills in blue once in
    every twelve years, will bloom next in 2030.
    Munnar also has the highest peak in South India,
    Anamudi, which towers over 2,695 m.

Thekkady
  • The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up
    images of elephants, unending chains of hills and
    spice scented plantations. The Periyar forests of
    Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves
    in India. Spreads across the entire district are
    the picturesque plantations and hill towns that
    nestle beautiful trails for treks and mountain
    walks.It is one of the oldest tiger reserves in
    the country and the forests of Periyar is
    embellished by the presence of endangered species
    including White Tigers.

Vagamon
  • Vagamon hill station in Idukki is among the few
    spots on the planet that need to be experienced
    first-hand to truly discover its glory. The
    grassy hills, velvet lawns and overall mysticism
    of the place cannot be replicated anywhere else
    in the world. This quaint town lies untouched by
    any modern influences and is neatly tucked away
    in Idukki district. Thangal, Murugan and
    Kurisumala. These are important to Hindus,
    Muslims and Christians, respectively, and are a
    perfect example of the communal harmony prevalent
    in the place. The Kurisumala monks have an
    enchanting dairy farm nearby that is an absolute
    delight to visit.

Ponmudi
  • Locals in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram
    will declare that a weekend drive to Ponmudi is
    among the best ways to spend time in the city.
    Families and friends alike are known to go on
    long drives up the winding paths for a view they
    insist rivals any other in the State. The slopes
    shrouded in mist fill one with a feeling of
    wonder and amazement. A large amount of rare
    flora and fauna can be seen here including
    mountain flowers, wild orchids and exotic
    butterflies.

Lakkidi
  • Lakkidi is the gateway of Wayanad as it is
    located at the crest of the serpentine
    Thamarassery ghat pass. There are nine hairpin
    curves from Adivaram (Downhill) to Lakkidi
    through steep mountains and a journey through the
    serpentine ghat pass is worth an experience.  It
    is about 2296 ft (700 m) above the sea level and
    the major town nearby is Vythiri which lies five
    km away. The lush greenery of the hills, gorges
    and streams seen on both sides of the passage up
    the hill are sure to linger in the visitors mind
    for a long time. Tourists often stop by Lakkidi
    View Point, the vantage point which offers
    dazzling views of the surrounding cliffs and
    valleys. Most of the new couples choose there

Vythiri

  • Idukki district is a densely forested,
    mountainous region in the south Indian state of
    Kerala. In the north, Anamudi mountain towers

    blue Neelakurinji flower blooms every 12 years.
    Nearby, Munnar is a hill station known for its
    sprawling tea plantations and Tea Museum. Farther
    south is the vast, curved Idukki Dam and Periyar
    National Park, a tiger and elephant reserve. Most
