About Coastal Ear Nose Throat
Our physicians have attended the very top medical
schools and training programs in the country. We

Plastic Surgery
Our Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Department
is run by Dr. Matthew Hirsch. Dr. Hirsch has
extensive specialization in facial plastic
surgery that includes rhinoplasty (cosmetic nose
surgery), deviated septum surgery, skin cancer
(Mohs) reconstruction, nasal reconstruction,
facelift and necklift, eyelid lift
(blepharoplasty), brow lift, surgery for facial
paralysis (Bells Palsy), facial and jaw fracture
reconstruction, ear pinning (otoplasty), and
surgery and laser treatment of vascular
birthmarks (hemangiomas and vascular
malformations). In addition, Dr. Hirsch has
comprehensive training in the evaluation and
evidence- based treatment of general
otolaryngology conditions in adults and children.

Audiology, Hearing and Balance
The Coastal Hearing and Balance Center is here to
serve those with hearing loss and balance or
dizziness problems. Our expert Audiologists
administer hearing and balance testing and work
closely with our physicians to determine the
appropriate rehabilitation for your

Head and Neck Surgery
The surgeons at Coastal Ear, Nose and Throat are
highly experienced and trained in all facets of
head and neck conditions. Our physician, Dr.
Kenneth Newkirk, is board certified in adult and
pediatric otolaryngology, and is also a
fellowship trained Head and Neck Cancer

Ear Surgery

• Diseases of the ear can affect hearing and
  balance and lead to significant functional
  problems for patients suffering from ear
  disease. Due to the small size of the ear,
  treating ear disease usually requires
  specialized training and microscopic surgery.

Nose Sinus
Coastal ENT is a premier center of excellence in
the region of diagnosis and treatment of
diseases related to the nose, sinuses, and skull
base. We have two fellowship trained physicians,
Dr. Josef Shargorodsky and Dr. Qasim Husain, as
well as an experienced staff equipped to handle
the most difficult cases with both medical and

Voice and Swallowing
The Coastal Voice and Swallowing Center is led by
Dr. Pratik B. Patel, focusing on the diagnosis
and treatment of laryngologic (voice box and
throat) conditions. We offer a wide variety of
in-office and operative procedures, and partner
with speech pathologists in the greater New
Jersey Shore area to get you the care you need.
