his current company in the 1980s after
immigrating to the United States from India.

for around 40 years and has completed hundreds of

Mon Wig was the founder and owner of the former
Village Mart Inc. As CEO of Village Mart, he
developed and franchised a total of seven
convenience grocery stores in the greater Seattle
metropolitan area.

Educational Background
Mon Wig has a Master's and a PhD in Industrial
Engineering from NC State University. He moved to
the United States in 1963 to earn a masters
degree in Industrial Engineering. He went on to
receive a PhD in Industrial Engineering from
North Carolina State in 1969.
