materials with high water-absorbing capacities.

personal care products, such as adult and baby
diapers and sanitary napkins. They are
manufactured using white sugar-like hygroscopic
substances that convert water into transparent
gel-based particles and can retain moisture
without conflagrating. Apart from this, they are
also used to enhance the water-holding capacity
of the soil in the agricultural fields. Rapid
urbanization and increasing demand for personal
hygiene products are among the key factors
driving the growth of the market. In line with
this, owing to increasing health consciousness
among consumers, there is a significant increase
in the demand for fluff-less baby diapers, adult
incontinence and feminine hygiene products.
Furthermore, increasing product utilization in
the agriculture sector to improve irrigation
systems, preserve water and facilitate seedling
development, is also providing a boost to the
market growth. Other factors, including extensive
utilization of these polymers in the
manufacturing of adhesives, coatings and food
