QuickBooks Error C184 within the Desktop
application whereas progressing to your
organization info record or manufacturing a
report, at that time you'll be able to solve
QuickBooks Error C184 by following the
prescribed technique within the article. This
error shows up once.ND (Network Data) documents
and .TLG (Transaction Log) records are
damaged. It displays a message as An error has
occurred in QuickBooks. Please restart QuickBooks

There are several reasons which will instigate
this error. Some causes are as follows 1. Damage
.NDand and .TLG file 2. Incorrect dates in
reports 3. Improper and wrong installation of
QuickBooks software 4. Manually modify the date
for your report 5. Install all the windows that
is update 6. Run reboot.bat 7. Perform a clean
installation of QuickBooks software 8. Move the
company file to the varied location 9. Rename .ND
and .TLG file
If rebooting your QuickBooks application then

reboot.bat 1. Close the Quickbooks application on
your computer 2. Apply right-click on QuickBooks
icon 3. Select the properties from the drop-down
menu 4. Click on the open file location 5. If you
are inside the QuickBooks file then, run the
reboot.bat folder 6. Now, you need to click on
the reboot.bat and then click on the
administrator 7. Run Reboot.bat as an
administrator is needed 8. CMD window is
appearing and process for file components 9. If
CMD prompt once then, the process is completed to
restart your computer
1. Move to the folder where the company file is
saved on your computer system 2. On that folder
search for .ND and .TLG extensions of the data
files. Though, you can easily identify such files
if they have ending with .ND and .TLG of their
names 3. Once you find them, give a right click
on these files to select the Rename
option 4. Now, rename those files with adding an
extension .OLD at the end of the file names.
(For example if the file name is qbw.tlg, then
rename it to Yourcompanyfilename.qbw.tlg.OLD) 5. A
fter reformatting the name of the files, open the
QuickBooks application on your system and then
after access your company file 6. Following
these steps will automatically fix the damaged
data files.
