Good study habits are for every student. It is to
be first planned and then implement it
accordingly so that to have effective learning in
doing engineering assignments. Here are ten main
life hacks discussed below that helps while
studying engineering much enjoyable along with
reducing stress during the exams.
Eat healthily The human body needs full strength,
a sharp mind, and physical stamina, especially
during the exams. It is necessary to consume
healthy foods and fruits so that the student can
be focused. Avoid junk and oily foods. Exercise
Daily Do a proper exercise regularly to maintain
fitness and to avoid stiffness in muscles that
can be caused by sitting long hours with books.
Make a study ScheduleIt is necessary to
prepare a study schedule on a daily basis. Design
a special schedule before exams to revise and
cover the syllabus within a number of days.Set
Realistic TargetTo set realistic targets while
designing a schedule is key to success. Do not
overburden yourself to cover the syllabus in less
time that cannot be possible. Keep a clear
understanding of self-strength and capability and
then design the schedule.
  • Become a problem solver
  • First, change the mindset to excel in
engineering. Learn not to count on else to tell
or suggest everything to solve problems. Learn
how to discover what you need to know and from
where to get the solution or to find it.

  • Must Read your textbooks
  • Engineering textbooks cover important theories by
giving realistic examples. There can be many
reasons to read textbooks. But only to open
textbooks to complete the assigned homework can
be left out valuable learning opportunities. So
make a habit of reading textbooks with a purpose
    but read it.

  • Take small breaks
  • Study for long hours without any break can
exhaust the mind and body. To avoid study burnout
and exhaustion, it is required to take a small
break. Go for a small walk or a coffee break.
This will refresh the mind and relax the process
    of learning.

  • Form a small study group
  • For an engineering student, studying within a
study group can be advantageous. The benefits can
include finding solutions easily by alternative
ways, creates a teaching environment, gets a
    better understanding of different theories,
    increases self-confidence, and develops
team-building skills. It is necessary to try to
become quicker to respond to an answer as every
member has their way of solution.

  • Seek the help of the instructor
  • Contrary to famous belief, instructors are hired
to teach and not the lecture. If something that
is not understood during the lecture, then take
the initiative to ask the question and clarify
it. It is better to ask a clarifying question so
that the instructor can clarify the specific
  • Get Proper Rest
  • Do not sacrifice sleep during exams by doing
overnight studies that could give stress and
force the body to find ways to rest. Our body is
a biological machine that cannot work 24 hours.
    It needs proper rest.
