IIT JAM is an entrance test to get admission in
M.Sc. Program which is conducted by IITs and
IISc. Its an examination through which students
can get admission in M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D.,
M.Sc.- M.Tech, M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree other
courses at IITs and IISc. It's a great
opportunity to those students who wants to do
their Masters from IITs IISc and make their
careers in Science field. IIT JAM Exam is
conducted only in six subjects from 2020 session
which are

  • Biotechnology (BT)
  • Chemistry (CY)
  • Geology (GG)
  • Mathematics (MA)
  • Mathematical Statistics (MS)
  • Physics (PH)

JAM Exam Pattern IIT JAM exam is divided into
three sections i.e. Section A, Section B
Section C. There is total 60 questions of 100
marks. Aspirants have time duration of 3 Hours to
attempt them.

    paper is English.
  • Section A
  • Number of Questions There is total 30 questions
    out of which 10 questions are of 1 mark each and
    20 questions are of 2 marks each
  • Total Marks 50
  • Negative Marking - For 1-mark ques, 1/3 marks
    will be deducted and for 2-marks ques, 2/3 marks
    will be deducted.

  • Section B
  • Number of Questions There is total 10 questions
    of 2 marks each
