About Strep Throat Strep throat is a bacterial
infection that causes inflammation and pain in
the throat. This common is caused by a group of
bacteria which is known as A Streptococcus
bacteria. This infection may affect children

coughing can spread the infection from one person

  other conditions. You need to know what is not.
• Firstly, strep throat is not a virus. Viruses
  cannot be cured with antibiotics.
• It does not occur with a runny nose or a cough or
  red eyes. These are mainly the signs of a virus
  or allergy.
• Symptoms or suffering from strep throat is not
  life-threatening. If you leave it untreated,
  strep throat may lead to a more serious
  complication.
• It Spreads Easily
• The bacteria that cause strep throat are highly
  contagious. You can spread it by coming in close
  contact. This includes sneezes and handshakes or
  even sharing someone else's items.
• Make sure that you are washing your hands now and
  then. Be cautious about touching objects when
  someone is your house is suffering from strep
  throat.
