IIT JAM Exam Pattern For 2020 Exam IIT JAM
(Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance
Exam) is a gateway if you want to pursue an M.s
degree from top reputed institutes like IIT's and
IISC's. Every year more than 55000 candidates
appear for this exam to get admission in the
IIT's and NIT's. According to the official
Notification, the JAM exam is scheduled for 9th
February 2020, and this year it is conducted by
IIT Kanpur. While preparing for the exam like
IIT JAM, it is essential to know the IIT JAM Exam
Pattern, to get ready according to that. So here
we will share the exam pattern for IIT JAM 2020
exam.

IIT JAM 2020 Exam Pattern

• IIT JAM Exam Pattern Overview
• The IIT JAM exam is an Online Computer Based
  Exam. The total time duration of the examination
  will be of 3 hours, and the exam will be in the
  English language only.
• There will be a total of 60 questions carrying
  100 marks. The exam is divided into three
  sections A, B c.
• Section A contains 30Ques. All are in the MCQ
  format and carrying ten quests of 1 mark each
  20 quests of 2 marks each.
• Section B contains a total of 10 MCQ of 2 marks
  each.
• Section C contains a total of 20 NAT (Numerical
  Answer Type) questions carrying ten questions of
  Marks each another ten questions of 2 marks
  each.

• IIT JAM 2020 Marking pattern
• In Section A Incorrect answers will result in
  a negative mark. For each wrong answer, 1/3
  marks will be deducted, and for 2 Marks
  questions, 2/3 marks will be deducted for each
  wrong answer.
• In Section B There is no negative marking in
  Section B
• Section C There is no negative marking in this
  section.

is divided into two sections. The first session
will begin at 930 am, and the second session
will start at 230 pm.
