Step One Written Complaint

• According to the IT Law, a computer crime is
  under the global jurisdiction.
• The first step in filing a complaint about
  cybercrime is to file a written complaint in the
  cyber crime cell of the current city.

Step Two Provide Complete Address

• When submitting a cyber crime complaint, you must
  provide your name, contact information and
  shipping address.
• You must address your complaint in writing to the
  Head of the Cyber Crime Cell in the city where
  you are filing the computer crime report.

Step Three Consult a Lawyer

• In case of online harassment, consult a Cyber
  lawyer to assist you.
• You may be asked to provide certain documents
  with the complaint. This would depend on the
  nature of the crime.

Step Four Register a Cyber Crime F.I.R.

• If you do not have access to any of the cyber
  crime branch in India, you can file a (FIR) to
  the local police station.
• Under Section 154, Code of Criminal Procedure it
  is necessary to record the complaint of an
  offense, regardless of the jurisdiction in which
  the crime was committed.
