•  
• A. R. Rahman is an Indian composer,
  singer-songwriter, music producer, musician,
  multi-instrumentalist and philanthropist.
• Skilled in Carnatic music, Western classical,
  Hindustani music and the Qawwali style of Nusrat
  Fateh Ali Khan, Rahman has been noted to write
  film songs that amalgamate elements of these
  music systems and other genres, layering
  instruments from differing music idioms in an
  improvisatory manner.

• Received a Kalaimamani from the government of
  Tamil Nadu among other musical-achievement awards
  from the government of UP and MP.
• Won a Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, Indias thrid
  highest civilian honour, from the government of
  India.
• In 2009, for his Slumdog Millionaire score,
  Rahman won the Broadcast Film Critics Association
  Award, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original
  Score,150 the BAFTA Award for Best Film
  Music and two Academy Awards (Best Original
  Score and Best Original Song, the latter shared
  with Gulzar) at the 81st Academy Awards

• Rahman has worked for innumerous Hindi, Tamil,
  Malayalam and Kannada films and composed music
  and songs for them.
• He also worked on a number of films in hollywood
  and composed music for the Chinese and Japanese
  film fraternity as well

  India and are famous all over the globe
