• This is a wildlife sanctuary and estuary located
  in the deltaic branches of the Godavari and
  Goutami rivers.

• It has multiple mangrove and marsh vegetation due
  to the tidal backwaters of the rivers and the
  ample water channels. It has 24 species of
  mangroves and more than 120 bird species,
  including the critically endangered White-backed
  Vulture and Long-billed Vulture.
