• The project included 14.5 million feet of film
  for digitization and 5.5 million feet of film for
  digital film restoration. This film restoration
  and digitization project took a span of two years
  to complete.

Source materials Handled was 35mm celluloid film
and 16mm celluloid film. Physical assets were
very old, dating back to 1940s. The films
included a range of black and white and color
negative and positive films. Apart from the usual
defects, these films had severe stabilization
issues, wrap issues, running scratches and bands.
These were the major challenges faced by Prasad
during the project. With a rich experience in
delivering such large projects to major studios
and archives, and a well experienced and properly
trained team for archiving and film restoration
services, Prasad completed the project on the
requested time period.

The film restoration services offered to the
client include removal of dust, vertical lines,
scratches, chemical stains, film tears, and color
fading. Prasad develops and design custom
solutions for different types of assets.  Based
on our rich experience in handling digitization
and restoration projects Prasad had a proven
workflow process where a project goes through
different stages such as analyze, estimation
process, restoration process, QC, QA and
confidential check before delivering the final
output to the client.

The completed project included digital film
restoration of over sixteen thousand cans of
films with a dedicated one fifty member team in
India.  Prasad Corp being one of the largest
film restoration companies provides QC and QA
processes for both sound and pictures with a
dedicated sound restoration infrastructure. The

Scanity machine shortened the turn-around time
for digitization by almost 33. Client was able
to accomplish the desired ROI without
