Daily Eye-Care
  • Its often said that beauty lies in the eyes of
    the beholder. But if the beholder has a weak
    eyesight, the beauty in question is of no use!
  • Without healthy eyes, there is little in the
    world to see, quite literally. In an endeavor to
    demystify daily eye-care, lets take a look at
    simple things you can do daily to ensure your
    eyes serve you well throughout your lifetime!

Wear prescription glasses/protective eyewear
  • If you have a weak eyesight, a pair of
    prescription glasses not only help improve vision
    but also prevent weakening of eyesight further.
    Hundreds of brands/styles to choose from in the
    market, you neednt compromise on the style
    factor too!
  • People spending more than 4 to 5 hours in front
    of a computer screen, a pair of anti-reflective
    lenses becomes absolutely necessary.
  • It prevents eye strain, dryness many other
    symptoms associated with Computer Vision Syndrome
    (CVS) also known as digital eye strain.

Be Food-Wise
  • Just like there are different types of foods to
    help with shiny hair or beautiful skin, certain
    foods work at making your eyes healthier.
  • Carrot has always been a favourite eye-food for
    every mother in the country, and rightly so.
    Packed with beta-carotene, they are the rich
    source of vitamin A and are perfect for healthier
    eyes.
  • Besides the obvious choice, fish like salmon or
    tuna, green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits like
    oranges or grapefruits also are superfoods for
    eye health.

Regular eye check-ups
  • Maintain a regular eye check-up schedule with
    your optometrist to rule out possible eye
    infections or weak eyesight.
  • As soon as symptoms like blurred vision, eye
    pain, watery or red eyes appear, be sure to
    consult a doctor as soon as possible.

  • Taking care of your overall health is really the
    key to maintaining eye health as well.
  • Regular exercise, a good diet, and 7 to 8 hours
    of sleep is vital for a healthier vision!
