What is Weighbridges?

• Weighbridge is a large set of scale, usually
  mounted permanently on a concrete foundation ,
  that is used to weigh entire rail or road vehicle
  and their content. By weighing the vehicle both
  empty and when loaded, the load carried by the
  vehicle is calculated.
• They are used in industries that manufacture or
  move bulk items, such as garbage dumps, mines,
  powder movement, electrical equipment and
  household goods
• Since the weight of the vehicle carrying the
  goods is known they are a quick and easy way to
  measure the flow of bulk goods.

Principle of Weighbridges
Any Electronic Control Unit can be added to the
weighbridge. In some cases the level system can
be replaced by load cells which support the
platform. Thus the weighbridge can be made fully
electronic with minor modification, the capacity
of the weighbridge can also be increased in some
cases.
