Active Release Technique
Active Release Technique (ART)  is a patented
soft tissue movement based massage developed by
Dr. P. Michael Leahy. It aims to treat
chiropractic problems associated with muscle
overuse, a muscle and soft tissue condition that
usually occurs from acute accidents (such as
tears, pulls, and collision), hypoxia (the state
of not having enough oxygen), and micro-trauma
the accumulation of small tears within the
muscles.

Dry Needling Therapy and Acupuncture Dry
needling therapy is a chiropractic technique in
which acupuncture needles are inserted into a
trigger point, muscle knot, or tendinopathy.  The
intention is to decrease the tone and tension of
the muscle, or promote scar tissue remodeling in
a tendon or soft tissue.  On a scientific level
dry needle therapy increases blood flow and
stimulates a blood cell called a fibroblast.
This increases the rate and efficiency of your
bodys natural healing mechanisms. Often when
this technique is performed, it results in a
muscle twitch followed by a reflexive relaxation
of the muscle.

The sports massage professionals at Premier
Sports Spine aim to improve your athletic
performance and lessen the frequency of injury.
It does not matter if you are recovering from
pain or you are simply looking to enhance your
bodys condition, a sports massage can help you
prevent future injuries, improve your
flexibility, return motion to wounded muscle
tissue, advance your athletic ability and
training ability, and lengthen the lifespan of
your athletic pastime or career.

Auto Injury Chiropractic Care Many people at some
point in their lives will be in a car accident
requiring Chiropractic Care and while some people
are lucky enough to escape unscathed, many will
experience injuries that can range from very
serious to mild sprain/strain type injuries.
Research has shown that even low-impact accidents
(those under 10 miles per hour) can result in
injuries to the neck, back, and shoulders as well
as long term compensation patterns if left
untreated. Usually, these injuries occur in the
soft tissues such as ligaments, tendons, and
muscles, but in more serious cases the injuries
can involve nerves or intervertebral discs.

Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care is primarily focused on a
technique called joint manipulation. Joint
manipulation is a technique used by chiropractors
to introduce motion into joints that have a
decreased range of motion. The joint is taken to
the end of its range of motion and then is very
quickly pushed slightly past that point. This is
done in a very controlled and safe manner.
Performing this technique stretches the joint
capsule, the ligaments that hold the joint
together, and returns the joint to its normal
range of motion.

Therapeutic Ultrasound
The Heating Massaging Effects of Therapeutic
Ultrasound Have 3 Primary Benefits In
Chiropractic Sports Injuries Ultrasound therapy
increases blood flow in the treated area, which
speeds the healing process. Ultrasound Therapy
reduces swelling and edema, which are the main
sources of pain. Ultrasound waves gently massage
the muscles, tendons and/or ligaments in the
treated area. This enhances the recovery rate of
damaged tissue without adding strain, and softens
any scar tissue that is usually present in an
injured area.
