About the programme

• Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu
  today finalised the 'People's capital
  -Inspiration of Amaravathi' programme,
• According to this programme in every village,
  people have to celebrate ' Our soil-Our water and
  our Amaravathi' to inspire every one turn as
  partners of the capital construction.

• This programme is going to happen on three days,
  October 13,14 and 15 .
• On these days, people should collect soil and
  holy water from their villages with traditional
  prayers and transport it to the teshil
  headquarters and offer prayers to the collected
  soil and water.

• From there the collected soil and water will be
  transported to Amaravathi, the state capital on
  19th October by the officials.
• In Amaravathi a monument will be constructed
  using this soil. To organise and monitor of all
  these programme, officials are designated from
  village to district level.

Construction at Amaravathi

• The construction of the capital city Amaravathi
  is happening on a rapid pace.
• Andhra Pradesh government began the construction
  works under second phase capital city in
  Amaravathi. It is expected the construction will
  be completed by 2018 end.
• The government is constructing 3,840 apartments
  for IAS, IPS, Legislators and Secretariat staff.
