is a "Potcake" a dog breed that resulted not
from human meddling, but from the inbreeding of
stray dogs on small Carribean islands. As an
evolutionary biologist, Kjer makes connections
about how stray dogs would need to be friendly,
smart, and healthy to survive. A nice mixture of
population genetics and natural selection. Good
