• For many years, he has been the President of
  different associations of older people.
• He has been involved in the existing associative
  movement of that time that presided over ASOGAPEN
  (Association of Major Persons, Retirees and
  Pensioners).
• In addition to this, he has also been the
  President FEAMPO (Association of Seniors of the
  province of Pontevedra), CO.GA.MA. (Galician
  Confederation of Seniors Organization), and is a
  substitute member in the state council of older
  persons, based in Madrid.
• In all these associations, he has the common goal
  and objective based on the struggle for rights
  and the improvement of the quality of life of the
  elderly at all levels.
• He also strives to offer the older people and
  their families some services.

• Personal Life -
• Jose Pineiro was born in Moaña in a small fishing
  village near Vigo.
• He was born in a middle-class family - His father
  was the skipper of a fishing boat and his mother
  went through 20 pregnancies.
• Since his childhood, he was fond of
  representation and associationism.
• When he was the age of 14, he was the leader of
  the Catholic Action group and was the head of
  Valillas. This was the children's "army" of the
  Franco era.

• Professional Experience -
• After his graduation, Jose Pineiro ended up in
  some administrative work and military service.
• He moved to Montevideo (Uruguay), where he
  married and eventually occupied the management of
  the Ford Company.

• Later Years of His Life
• After 45 years in that country, José decided to
  return because his daughter also settled in Spain
  again and they thought the country was better.
• She has started a new business related to the
  automobile sector in the province and she
  continued to participate in other forums.
