How to Use Amazon Alexa to Call 911

Step 01

• Get the Alexa app

• You need the app and a smart phone available to
  enable Alexa to call 911

• Get an Echo Connect

• Get an Echo Connect (a separate device sold by
  Amazon)

• Get an Echo speaker

• Get an Echo speaker that is compatible with Echo
  Connect. (Note all Echo Speakers since 2016 are
  compatible with Echo Connect.)

• Set Up Echo Connect

• Plug in Echo Connect to your home phone line and
  Internet. (Note to be able to call 911 from
  Alexa, you MUST also have a phone line either
  Land Line or VOIP).

• Connect Echo Devices

• Connect any Amazon Speaker Device (Echo, Plus,
  Spot, Show, or Look) to your Internet (wifi or
  wired).

• Run A Test

• Test the system (by calling a friend or family
  member).
• Say Hey, Alexa! Call and say the name of the
  person you are calling.
