Title: Difference Between Dental Bonding and Dental Veneers

1
Dental BondingvsDental Veneers
2
Dental Bonding
  • Dental bonding can be a great way to improve the
    look of your teeth.
  • If you have decayed, discolored or unattractively
spaced teeth, bonding can reshape your smile
    and your self-image.
  • Bonding can change the colour, shape, and length
of your teeth, eliminate crowding, close up
spaces, and do a lot of the things that can be
    done with veneers.
  • It is an economical alternative to veneers.

3
Porcelain Veneers
  • Veneers are super-strong porcelain or composite
resin shells that are bonded to the surface of
    your natural teeth.
  • It looks just like tooth enamel, is highly
resistant to stains, and even reflects light the
    way natural teeth do.
  • Veneers can make your damaged, chipped, cracked,
stained, worn or unevenly spaced teeth bright,
    straight and beautiful.
  • A number of different porcelain veneer styles are
    offered according to your budget.

4
Key Differences
  • Bonding usually lasts about five to eight years
whereas Veneers can last for 10-20 years.
  • Dental bonding doesnt cover the whole surface of
tooth whereas, in Veneers, the front portion of
your tooth is covered by the material too.
  • Bonding doesnt require a huge time commitment
and the whole procedure can be finished in a
single visit whereas the whole procedure in
Veneers cant be finished in one dental visit and
requires at least 2-3 office visits over several
    weeks.

5
Key Differences
  • Bonding is much faster and less expensive as
compared to veneers, but the material used in
bonding can be stained by coffee, tea, red wine,
    and smoking.
  • Whereas in Veneers are more costly as compared
to Bonding but the material cant be stained by
    tea, coffee, and red wine.
