  • Operating principle
  • It provides very high thermal conductance when
    designed properly and it is a passive heat
    transfer device. The working of heat pipe is base
    on the principles of both high thermal
    conductivity and phase transfer. It enables
    transfer of heat by the action known as
    Capillary Action. There are three major
    elements in heat pipe responsible to transfer
    heat namely

  • How it Works?
  • The one end of heat pipe is placed in the heat
    generation section, when one end of the pipe is
    heated temperature of the liquid inside the heat
    pipe will also increases gradually and after
    large temperature increase it vaporizes. These
    vapors travel towards the colder end and carries
    latent heat associated heat with it. At colder
    end vapor dissipates all the latent heat and
    turns back into liquid form this liquid then
    travels back to heated end. The capillary wick
    structure helps liquid to travel back to the
    evaporator end with the help of centrifugal
    forces. This process is carried out continuously
    and the heat transfer takes place through a very
    safe effortless way.
