Beer cheese is a cheese spread most usually
found in Kentucky. Similarly named cheese items
can be found in different regions of the United
States, yet beer cheese spread itself isn't
broadly distributed. There are various diverse
brands that are well known most are similar in
taste and texture.

Browned Fried pickles are a snack food found
commonly in the Southern U.S. They are made by
deep-frying sliced bat ered dil pickles. Fried
pickles first appeared on the American culinary
scene in the early 1960s. The first known
printed browned fried pickle recipe was in the
Oakland Tribune on November 19, 1962, for
"French Fried Pickles." That recipe cal ed for
using sweet pickle slices and pancake mix.

Nachos were invented by Ignacio Anaya, who
whipped up the first batch for a group of
hungry U.S. military wives at a restaurant
called the Victory Club in Piedras Negras,
Mexico, near Fort Duncan. He fried up some
tortilla chips, topped them with some shredded
Cheddar and sliced jalapenos, and served them
as canapes. He named them after his nickname,
Nacho
