4Step 2 Connect to SSD
- Once you have the set up for the upgraded version
for the cloning process, connect the SSD to the
USB-to-SATA adapter, and then connect it to your
laptop with the USB cable. - If your laptop fails to show the Solid State Disk
with a new letter, go to Disk Management tool
and select "Create and format hard disk
partitions". Here you will find SSD as a new disk
if you find the message "Not initialized"
right-click on the drive and select "Initialize
disk." - Now, resize the current partition of your data
storage disk to keep it idle or small than the
Solid State storage.
5NOTE The C drive has Windows and your installed
programs and it should be larger than the SSD. If
it is larger than Solid state drive, you will
have to shrink the SSD down and make it the
smaller one.
- Now, restart your computer to make sure that the
partition works before cloning.
