Avast monitors your browsing and social
networking apps to detect and scan for any
harmful elements. It scores well in testing
independent security software labs. When this
Antivirus is installed on your system some 3rd
party clients like Mozilla Thunderbird, SeaMonkey
or The Bat!, may display that the mail server
certificate is invalid when you communicate via
emails. This applies to products like Avast
(Premiers, Internet Security, Pro Antivirus, and
Free Antivirus). An advanced scanning process is
used in antivirus by Mail Shield for
communicating over SSL/TLS. The 3rd party email
clients possess their own certificate stores and
may need extra configuration to avoid warnings of
invalid mail server certificates.
