  • Head over to the City of London to find some
stunning bars. Office buildings are not normally
the places you would expect to find a rooftop
bar, but the Heron Tower has become quite well
known for this purpose. You do need a head for
heights as Sushisamba is on the 38th floor!
Fortunately there is no need to climb the stairs,
just take the lift, which gets you there within
30 seconds. It is best to phone ahead to check
on availability as it often hosts private
parties. At night, the sparkling orange leaves
of the tree sculpture rivals the lights of the
    London skyline.
  • Paddington is one of Londons most visited areas.
There are a lot of great things to do in this
place. After taking off from a train in
Paddington station, you can take a short walk and
visit Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and the
Regents Canal. You can also enjoy a scenic view
of Londons Little Venice with its cute canal
boats, and charming flocks of swans. Here are
other nice things to do when you are in
    Paddington.

  • Edward Rooftop bars
  • Not far away is the Coq dArgent, providing
stylish roof top dining as well as a place to
relax with a drink. Situated close to Mansion
House in the centre of the City of London, this
roof top location is open all year round. A
pretty walkway round the garden enables visitors
to enjoy a variety of views across the skyline.
Good food is guaranteed, as this is a favourite
    destination for business lunches.
  • Culpeppers is one of the hidden secrets of East
London but it is also one of the most popular
venues on warm evenings. Located on Commercial
Road, it is a working kitchen garden, which just
happens to include a roof top bar. The food is
superb, and seating is limited. Booking a table
in advance is recommended. Special drinks are
often on offer, and the garden julep is very
popular. This is a mix of bourbon, lemon and
whatever happens to be the chosen herb of the day
ensuring that the taste varies from day to day.

  • Londons ice cream delights!
  • How about fig leaf, peanut butter blueberry, or
eggnog chocolate? Consideration should also be
given to ricotta and sour cherry, white peach
sorbet or Aperol spritz granita when visiting
Geluppo in Soho. Flavours are constantly
changing, making each visit totally different.
You never know just what is going to be on the
menu. These are artisan ice creams, created by
Italian specialists who make a very dense, yet
fresh ice cream which is not drowned in sugar or
    artificial flavourings.
  • Also in Soho is Yorica, who have made their
reputation by focusing on vegan vegetarian ice
creams, shakes and frozen yoghurt. All its
products are totally free from, and that
includes gluten free and nut free. Even the
peanut butter ice cream is safe to eat if you
have a nut allergy since it contains no peanuts
at all. Around 12 flavours are produced each day,
together with 60 sprinkle variations, and 18
different toppings including coulis and fresh
fruit. The result is a truly individual
ice-cream, tailored to your own personal taste.
  • An artistic element can be experienced at
Amorinos stores in Soho, Chelsea and Covent
Garden. Dont expect simple balls of ice cream
whenever you buy a cone. Instead the staff like
to be creative, and create pretty rosebud flowers
out of whichever flavour you choose!

5
  • While in Covent Garden, stop off at La Gelatiera
and admire artisans at work. While waiting to be
served, you can look through the glass floor and
see artisan ice cream makers creating the
exquisite delights awaiting you. Only the best
seasonal ingredients are used, as the owners like
to follow the Slow Food philosophy. No two days
are ever the same as the flavours on offer vary
considerably. How about Cornish blue Walnuts,
Fresh watercress lime, Basil Chilli, Pine
Nuts, Calabrian licorice or Porcini Chocolate
which is said to incorporate the earthy and sweet
flavours of porcini mushrooms and creamy
    chocolate.

  • In the middle of the 1800s, people used a corner
in Hyde Park just off Oxford Street and Marble
Arch to hold demonstrations and protest actions.

just some of the historic individuals known to
frequently use the corner to demonstrate their
    right to free speech.
  • In 1872, this Speakers Corner was officially
designated as an area for public speaking by an
act of Parliament. The place continues to be the

markets in London are a sight to see on their
own. Markets like the 1,000-year-old Borough
