VLP
  • Lipoparticles have many advantages in isolating
    membrane proteins firstly, they are homogeneous
    and physically well defined, capable of
    maintaining the native structures of target
    membrane proteins in high densities secondly,
    they can be used to detect membrane protein
    interactions and therefore have wide applications
    in antibody screening, phage and yeast display,
    immunogens production and ligand binding assays.
  • Creative Biostructure uses MemPro virus-like
    particles (VLP) to efficiently isolate membrane
    proteins in the form of lipoparticles.

VLP product
  • Creative Biostructure provides VLP products
    containing high concentrations of specific
    membrane proteins in their native conformation.
    VLPs capture conformationally-intact membrane
    proteins directly from the cell surface, enabling
    these complex proteins to be manipulated as
    soluble proteins. Our VLPs are produced with
    specified membrane proteins on a custom basis, or
    are available from a selected catalog of
    ReadyVLPs. Sample kits are also available for
    purchase for preliminary application testing.

Zika Virus VLP
  • Creative Biostructure develops a safe, effective
    and straightforward strategy to rapidly produce a
    Zika vaccine. Our Zika Virus VLPs are composed of
    partially mature particles containing Envelope
    (E), pre-Membrane (prM) and Membrane (M). VLPs
    are produced in mammalian suspension cell
    cultures offering a suitable system for rapid
    scale up of manufacturing, without the risk of
    working with an infectious agent. The lack of
    infectivity of the product eliminates the need
    for chemical inactivation, which may compromise
    vaccine efficacy and safety. The particulate
    nature of the vaccine and the preservation of a
    variety of conformational antigenic sites may
    even render this vaccine efficacious in humans
    without using adjuvant if its incorporation into
    a vaccine raises safety concerns. In summary, the
    Zika VLP platform puts forward a vaccine
    composition and production system ready for
    clinical development of a safe and effective
    prophylactic Zika vaccine, which is greatly
    needed to meet the challenges imposed by the
    spread of the Zika epidemic.
