    other contact.
  • Customers
  • B2B The company/organization a contact works
    for
  • B2C Customers not always used. When used, they
are the Buying Party, Household, or other
    grouping.
  • Leads
  • A potential customer that you have no existing
relationship with. Purchased online, met at a
trade show, submitted form on website, etc.
  • Opportunities
  • A deal in the pipeline. Leads can be converted
to opportunities once you begin talking. An

    addresses, etc.
  • Its best to manually create a few records from

Defining Your Sales Process
Define the stages a customer goes through from
start to finish. From acquiring their contact
information, to closing the deal. This could be
a set of steps between leads opportunities, or
a simple status of Prospect, Current Client,
Past Client. Opportunity Sales Stages is the
primary stage to drive workflow for companies who
use the full sales features of the CRM. Lead
Status is typically kept to a small set of
options. Its common to have a Status on each
customer/contact too.
