Can Chiropractic Help Back Pain?
  • One-half of all working Americans admit to having
    back pain symptoms each year.
  • Back pain is one of the most common reasons for
    missed work.
  • In fact, back pain is the second most common
reason for visits to the doctors office,
    outnumbered only by upper-respiratory infections.
  • Most cases of back pain are mechanical or
non-organicmeaning they are not caused by
    serious conditions, such an inflammatory
    arthritis,infection, fracture or cancer.
  • Americans spend at least 50 billion each year on
back painand thats just for the more easily
    identified costs.
  • Experts estimate that as many as 80 of the
population will experience a back problem at some
    time in our lives.

What Causes Back Pain? The back is a complicated
structure of bones, joints, discs, ligaments
nerves and muscles. You can sprain ligaments,
strain muscles, rupture discs, and irritate
joints, all of which can lead to back pain. While
sports injuries or accidents can cause back pain,
sometimes the simplest of movementsfor example,
picking up a pencil from the floor can have
painful results. In addition, arthritis, poor
posture, obesity, and psychological stress can
cause or complicate back pain. Back pain can also
directly result from disease of the internal
organs, such as kidney stones, kidney infections,
blood clots, or bone loss. One of the most
common causes of back pain is spinal subluxation.

Can Chiropractic Help Acid Reflux?
Chiropractors, especially those trained in
Applied Kinesiology techniques have been working
with acid reflux and related syndromes like
Hiatal Hernia for many years with good success.
In our office we have helped many people get off
those little purple pills and on to good health
through natural means. Our success rate is quite
high. Of course, not everyone can be helped, but
many can and in a very reasonable amount of time.
For some people even a little help is very
welcome and brings them great comfort.

How can a Chiropractor can help Lumber and
Cervical Disc Problems? How can chiropractors
help a disc problem? The answer is pretty simple.
By restoring normal function to the spine and
spinal joints, by removing pressure on the nerves
and releasing pressure on the disc, healing can
occur. When the area can move properly again, the
disc can once again re-hydrate and become
healthier. Note, this takes time and not all
discs can be completely healed in this
manner. Spinal surgery is often recommended for
this problem of disc health. It should be
considered carefully. Usually as a last resort. I
do not understand why some people will have
serious surgery without a thought, but will not
even try chiropractic. It makes not sense to me
at all. Having disc surgery is like putting new
tires on a car without doing a front end
TEAR IS NOT ADDRESSED! What this sometimes means
is that although some relief may be achieved
through the surgery, the problem often returns in
a few years
