  • Strategic marketing is the process of planning
    all the marketing activities of a company in a
    unified and clear way. This marketing plan must
    take into account all the firms activities and
    find a way to market it interestingly and
    efficiently to the public, so that they are
    tempted to try the product or service and have
    brand retention. Strategic marketing helps brands
    get an edge over their competition and allows
    them to capitalize on their strengths. Marketing
    strategies can either be creative or direct, but
    they are made to meet the needs of the market and
    create a space for themselves in the market for
    the long run. In a simple sense, strategic
    marketing is used to decide
  • Which markets to compete in and where it will
    compete
  • How the firm will compete and what its advantage
    is going to be
  • When and how the firm will enter the market and

  • There are five basic steps that are part of every
    strategic marketing process and these help a firm
    create a plan that will help them reach their
    goal. With changes in the environment and
    society, this plan needs to be updated and has to
    meet the needs of the current social scene. The 5

What are the steps in the business strategic
planning process? The business strategic
planning process is a process that takes into
account all the steps that must be put together
while creating a strategic plan. These steps are
broad and change according to the type of
organization and the kind of work they do.
However, whatever internal changes there are in
the plan, the basic outline must be followed to
make a complete and comprehensive plan. These
steps are Preparation This step involves
doing research and getting together all the
information about the firm and its related
aspects. Mission and Vision Statements This
means either creating or changing the mission and
vision statements according to the firms needs.

SWOT Analysis This step in the business
strategic planning process involves doing a
strength, weakness, opportunity and threat
analysis. Planning This involves planning using
all the resources, ideas and priorities. Distribu
ting tasks actions This includes assigning
the tasks to different members and making sure
they are able to do it. Putting the plan into
action This includes putting the plan into
action physically. Review This includes
checking up on the plan after its been in effect
and making necessary changes.
