Some Healthy Habits
  • Take deep breaths
  • Start with breathing, which is the very essence

    of our lives and it could cost us dear in the
    long run. Short and shallow breathing can affect
    concentration as it deprives the brain and blood
    cells of oxygen.  The alertness of mind and quick
    reflex is attributed to this. If the blood supply
    is not circulated to the vital organs, it could
    affect the overall health.

  • It takes only one move. Just one act! Carry some
    fruits to work for the 400pm hunger pangs.
    Replace the samosas and chips with apples and
    oranges. You will miss the junk the first few
    times but think of how much health benefits this
    will derive you. Choose the best and the
    healthiest option for each meal you have daily.
    It only takes effort the first time but soon the
    effort that will become a habit and will not
    seem unusual.

  • Take care of your skin
  • Healthy skin is often a reflection of a healthy
    body. Once you change your food habits, it should
    reflect on your skin. But you need to shield it
    from external harm. It is mandatory to wear a
    sunscreen lotion every time you step out of the
    house. Sun exposure leads to damage, sun spots
    and wrinkles on the skin. Although the early
    morning rays can be a good source of Vitamin D,
    prolonged exposure is not beneficial to the skin.

  • Chew your food properly
  • Its not only important to eat the right thing
    but also eat the right way. Gobbling up your
    meals because of time constrains, stress, etc.
    can be harmful. It is important to chew well.
    Each morsel of food should be chewed about 20-30
    times so as to be digested easily.  It is
    necessary to chew slow till each morsel liquefies
    and can be easily swallowed. When it comes to
    food, eat like the French!

  • Socialize
  • Mental health and wellbeing is as important as
    physical health. Take time regularly to meet
    friends, socialize and unwind. Group activities,
    whether it is with your friends circle, or a book
    club, etc. keeps the mind active. This is
    instrumental in emotional wellbeing. It is always
    easier to overcome difficulties and stress when
    there is a friend to heed you a kind ear and a
    helping hand. As they say, a good friend is
    cheaper than therapy.

  • I hereby thank the RGHC team for supporting me on
    path of fitness.
  • I joined RGHC on 2nd August 2014 and started with
    light exercise and diet routine recommended by
    Pradnya Shinde Madam.
  • Within 2 months, I reduced 3.4 kgs. Considering
    it as a good beginning, I extended my RGHC
    membership for another 3 years.
  • Further, Miss. Sayali Khade Madam gave 3
    variations of diet plans including detox diet at
    certain intervals.
  • On 10th January 2015, I weighed 89.15 kgs. My
    waist was smaller by 3 inches, fat ratio lower by
    0.5 lower and heart rate turned normal from
    140/90 10 120/80.
  • Healthy and tasty diet recipes, salads, seasonal
    fruits and vegetables made my platter healthy. It
    has added lot of satisfaction and happiness to my
    life.I am truly grateful to RGHC Nutrition Team
    who have been charting out personalized diet
    plans for me.
  • It has given me confidence that I too can join
    the group of people who are slim and fit by
    following recommended exercise and diet routine.
