• Wulaba Park is one of more than 15 new parks and
  open spaces in the fast-growing Green Square
  area. Street Furniture Australia furnished
  it with custom seat backrests and table settings.

• The park covers more than 4000 sqm of outdoor
  space and features a large playground, open lawn
  space and landscaped picnic and barbecue area.
  Most of Green Squares new residents will live
  in apartments without their own yards, so were
  building new parks with spaces for kids, adults
  and everyone in between to exercise, relax and
  play, says Sydney Mayor Clover Moore.

• With its challenging adventure playground, leafy
  picnic areas and purpose-built games facilities,
  Wulaba Park is a fantastic addition to the area
  where everyone can enjoy some downtime or

• The City of Sydney led the project, in
  partnership with developer Meriton. The concept
  design was produced by Gallagher Ridenour
  Landscape Architecture and further developed by
  award-winning landscape architects Sturt Noble
  Associates.

• Sydney artist Nuha Saad worked closely with Sturt
  Noble to design the playgrounds colourful
  equipment and soft-surface floors. The inclusion
  of colour and pattern throughout the park design
  creates intriguing zones engaging the community
  in the parks playful and colourful nature, says
  Saad.

• Patterned painted paths, and concrete benches
  incorporating coloured resin discs add points of
  interest, and give the park a kinetic quality.

• Sturt Noble specified custom seat backs
  with eco-certified hardwood battens from Street
  Furniture Australia to be fixed onto Saads
  decorated concrete plinths.

• Wulaba is an Aboriginal word of the Gadigal
  people meaning rock wallaby. Rock wallabies were
  once a regular sight around Waterloo, which was
  home to the largest swamp in the district until
  it was replaced with development in the early
  20th century.
