Title: Top 5 Don’ts of Renting a Car

Top 5 Donts of Renting a Car
  • Car renting can save you money! Many guys in the
US love to rent cars. In 2015 alone the revenue
collection from car rental companies in the US
stood at over 30 billion. But with this habit
not stopping anytime soon, you might have to rent
a car someday too. Well I been there before and I
have rented a few cars heading into Mexican City
    that I frequently visit.

  • Here are some of the top 5 donts of renting a
    car that I have learnt!

Dont Pre Pay For Gasoline
  • Many car rental companies appeal to our clients
with their pre paid gasoline offers. Dont be
duped into it. Unless you are totally sure you
will come back with the tank empty or catch up
with a pre dawn flight, dont bother!

  • These guys will charge you aggressively even for
the fuel that you have only used. The cost of
them fueling for you is often hiked than when you
    fuel it alone.

Dont Imagine Fueling Points
  • Dont just imagine there will be fueling points
along the way, hell no! Failing to check where to
refuel on your way back can be a complete
disaster! You might run out of fuel and never
have the slightest idea of where to look for it.

  • Mexican Automobile Insurance Firms offer you
roadside help and coverage but they also advice
you to take precautions. Once you take the car
check immediately with your insurer the best
    refueling points.

Dont Forget the Credit Card
  • In many occasions having auto insurance is
compulsory and really cool! But thats just how
far it goes. Your Mexican Auto Insurance will not
cover for any other expenditure that you might
run into. Use it as your secondary cover to help
in offsetting any expenditure that your insurance
will not cover. In fact you will even pay for
your car rental using your credit card. So always
    carry it.

Dont Ignore Upgrade Offers
  • In the past I always rented a low cost vehicle
and then inquired for any upgrade offers at the
rental desk. This often works best during off
peak hours when the garage is running low on the
low priced cars. In fact they might even offer
you free and affordable upgrades. Talk to them
and get the details of an upgrade!

Dont Ride Without Insurance
  • Your car needs a legal and current Mexican
Automobile Insurance. Well your US insurance
cover stops to serve you the moment you step onto
    the Mexican soil.

  • If you drive here without auto insurance you will
be held for breaking the law, charged, and
heavily fined or jailed. Using a Mexican Auto
Insurance cover is required by law. It helps to
cover your wallet in case of an accident you are
    at fault and much more.

  • Dont drive out without making a pretty cursory
inspection before departure. Dont fail to check
any reward programs that they have for good car
users. Finally dont cross over international
    boarders without their written consent.
